Attorney Lea Morgan received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994, after receiving her undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University, magna cum laude, in 1991. She became a licensed North Carolina attorney in 1995.
Lea joined Helms Robison Lee & Bennett, P.A. in 2013, and her main practice areas include criminal defense and general civil litigation. Prior to coming to Helms Robison Lee & Bennett, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Union County for almost three years. Lea has also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County, and as a solo practitioner.
Lea grew up in High Point, North Carolina and has been working in Union County since 2010. Lea is currently a board member of Bright Blessings and she is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Union County Bar Association, Union County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Program, and UNC-Wilmington Parent Council.
Lea lives in the Weddington area with her three children and two dogs and is also a member of Matthews United Methodist Church. Lea enjoys spending time with her children and cheering them on at sporting events. In her free time, she also enjoys yoga, running, reading, and traveling.
