Attorney Sherrie C. Smith has been a member of Helms Robison Lee & Bennett, PA since 2014. She received her law degree from Charlotte School of Law,magna cum laude, in 2014, and became a licensed North Carolina attorney that same year. While in law school, Sherrie became a member of the Order of the Crown academic honor society, Phi Delta Phi academic law fraternity, and Charlotte Law Review as an Articles Editor and Symposium Editor. In 2011, she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, summa cum laude.
Prior to her licensure, Sherrie worked as a legal intern with the Union County District Attorney’s Office for two years, where she gained courtroom experience. She also worked as a legal intern at TIAA-CREF in the Asset Management Legal Department one summer.
Sherrie devotes the majority of her time practicing family law alongside Rebecca L. Robison, but she also assists the firm with general civil litigation. She is a board member of the Union County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and she is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Union County Bar Association, and Union County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business program.
Sherrie was born and raised in Union County, North Carolina, and graduated from Sun Valley High School. She currently resides in the Indian Trail area of Union County with her husband. They both enjoy spending time with family, going hiking, mountain biking, and taking trips to Wilmington, North Carolina as well as High Rock Lake in Lexington, North Carolina.
